HISTORY
Humble Beginnings
The first meeting at Hanscoms Truck Stop in Portsmouth set out to help resolve the real problem of Police Departments cutting police dog programs and others not even considering them. How to turn back this trend was the agenda. Since then, the Working Dog Foundation has grown to over 100 life and annual members with over 2,000 fans at our last open house. Since 1995, we have made tremendous progress in ‘helping to keep our families safe’ and have become internationally recognized for our efforts in promoting police/working dogs throughout the world.
